Holesovice Train Station (Nadrazi Holesovice) is the second most important train station in Prague (after the Main Train Station). Trains from the north-west (e.g. Dresden or Berlin) stop or even terminate at Holesovice Station.

Prague Congress Centre is the top choice venue for big conferences and business events in Prague. In the past Prague Congress Centre hosted events such as International Monetary Fund and World Bank meeting (2000), NATO Summit (2002), or top-level European Union meetings (2009).

Metro line C from Nadrazi Holesovice to Vysehrad

The best and fastest way to get from Holesovice Train Station to Prague Congress Centre is by metro. Metro line C (red) goes directly between the two places. The station names are Nadrazi Holesovice (Holesovice Train Station) and Vysehrad (Prague Congress Centre). Travel time is approximately 10 minutes. The metro also stops at Florenc International Bus Station and Main Train Station (Hlavni Nadrazi) on the way. One-way ticket costs about 1 euro.

Taking a taxi from Holesovice Train Station to Prague Congress Centre

Taxi can be a more convenient option when travelling in Prague, but keep in mind that between Holesovice Train Station and Prague Congress Centre taxi is unlikely to beat public transport in terms of travel time.

Though both Holesovice Station and the Congress Centre are situated immediately next to the main north-south highway which runs through Prague city centre, this street (called “magistrala” by the locals) is infamous due to daily traffic jams. If you don’t have much time to waste, taking the metro between Holesovice Train Station and Prague Congress Centre is much better than taxi.
