Plzen: the city of beer

Plzen is the capital of West Bohemia, located about 80 km from Prague on the highway from Prague to Bavaria and Western Europe. Plzen is mainly an industrial city and not a typical tourist destination, although it does offer a few interesting things to do and see. Above all, Plzen (called Pilsen in German) is home to the Pilsner Beer.
