Travel from Lithuania to Prague by bus

The European bus network Eurolines operates a bus line between Lithuania, Czech Republic, and Germany. The stops in the Czech Republic include Hradec Kralove, Prague Florenc station, and Plzen.

In Lithuania buses to Prague and Germany start in Vilnius, but on some of them passengers must change bus in Kaunas. There are convenient connections from Alytus, Druskininkai, Klaipeda, Palanga, and Siauliai to Kaunas to the departure point of the Prague bus.

The bus from Vilnius to Prague also stops in Bialystok, Warsaw, and Wroclaw in Poland. After Prague and Plzen they continue to several German cities.

Bus from Vilnius to Prague timetable and duration

The bus ride between Vilnius and Prague takes approximately 18 hours and buses go overnight. The travel time is 1.5 hours less from Kaunas. There are two buses per week in each direction. For exact schedule see Eurolines website.

Vilnius to Prague bus tickets and booking

It is recommended to book tickets online in advance at least several days prior to departure. One-way ticket from Vilnius to Prague costs EUR 69; round trip usually costs two times the one way price (there is no discount). There are discounts for children (50%), students, and people over 60 (10%).

Praha Florenc bus station

Buses from Lithuania arrive at Prague international bus station Florenc, which is located very close to the city centre. Florenc is an important public transport hub and is served by two metro lines (B and C). There are also several tram and bus lines.
