Chodov is a metro station in Prague Jizni Mesto district, near the start of highway D1 to Brno and near the eastern end of Kunraticky Les (Kunratice Forest, a large recreational area and natural reserve). In the recent years Chodov has also been known as the location of one of Prague’s biggest shopping centres, Chodov Shopping Centre, which is linked directly with the metro station.
Exact Location
The metro station entrance and bus stops are situated in Roztylska Street. Chodov Shopping Centre is located between Roztylska and U Kunratickeho Lesa streets. Next to Chodov Metro Station there is a pedestrian bridge over the highway, providing safe access from the other side.
Metro Service at Chodov Station
Prague metro operates daily from about 5 am to midnight. Intervals between trains range from 2 minutes to 10 minutes, depending on time of day. Some trains end in Kacerov Station, 2 stops before Chodov, but usually at least every other train goes all the way to Chodov (and the terminus in Haje).
Travel time between the city centre and Chodov is about 15 minutes. Chodov is 8 stops from Muzeum Station (Wenceslas Square), 9 stops from Hlavni Nadrazi (Central Train Station), and 10 stops from Florenc (Central Bus Station). Stations neighbouring to Chodov are Roztyly (city centre side) and Opatov (Haje side).
